Traditional CBT Music

.: Hail to Cal Fanfare Entrance
At special Straw Hat Band events, you may hear the stirring fanfare of the Cal Trumpets before the band's traditional march-in entrance to Fight for California.  This is usually performed at big basketball games and is a spine-tingling way to announce the arrival of the Cal Band.

.: Intro to Fight for California
If you listen to the University of California Fight Song "FIght for California," you will hear the trumpets start the tune with a loud and pronounced soli. This fanfare sets the mood for the song that raises everyone's spirits when cheering at a Cal game.

.: Cadences
After football games, the Cal Band marches past Bowles Hall and soon thereafter marches their way back toward Sproul Plaza to end the day. During the journey from memorial stadium, you will sometimes hear the trumpets play a tune by themselves, while the rest of the band and fans who walk nearby listen.
