Recruiting Events and Deadlines
- April 18th – Cal Day – Recruits are invited to see live performances by the Cal Band, meet current members of the band, and tour Tellefsen Hall. Stop by our table near Sather Gate!
- SCHEDULE CHANGE: In-person auditions with Bob are now available all summer from June until check-in!
- July 11th – NorCal Barbeque – Come hear the band play, interact with Cal Band members, learn more about joining the band, and get free food!
- August 3rd – Recorded auditions must be sent before this date.
- August 20th – FTP check-in – All recruits come to Berkeley to check in for our fall training program. This is also the last day to perform a music audition.
- August 21st-August 23rd – FTP Davis – The band travels to Davis to learn marching fundamentals and for marching auditions. The band returns the afternoon of the 23rd to allow time to move into the dorms.
- August 24th-August 25th – Welcome Week – Various campus events are held to introduce new students to UC Berkeley. During this time, the band will hold some rehearsals to begin learning our pregame show and our first halftime show. New students will have ample time outside of rehearsal to attend welcome week events and make new acquaintances.
