Cal Band Parents' Club
The Parents' Club is an informal group of parents of past and present Band members that provides support for the Band in a variety of ways including serving lunches, sewing rehearsal vests, helping with recruiting, and providing staffing for many other Band activities.
It provides opportunities for parents of Band members to meet, get involved with the Band, and learn about the Band. Parents often meet informally for refreshments and discussion before Band performances.
Typical activities during the year include:
- A work party and informal lunch early in the fall season.
- Flipping burgers and providing "extras" like cookies and condiments for Bar-B-Q's feeding the Band members and parents before several home games in the fall.
- One or more special events designed to give parents an idea of the workings and history of the organization their children are joining.
- Informal receptions before or after performances in the Spring Semester, including the Concert Band performance and Spring Show.
