Northern California Benefit 2008

Dear Cal Band Family, Friends and Supporters,

On Friday, September 19th, 2008 (a football "bye" weekend), we hope you will join us for a fun- filled and exciting evening in support of the Cal Band. This year's NorCal Benefit will be held at the fabulous Julia Morgan designed Berkeley City Club with a theme of "Blue Nights, Golden Lights" and it promises to be an extraordinarily eventful evening with all proceeds going towards the support of our beloved Cal Band.

As you are all well aware, there is just no other organization on campus that brings more energy, enthusiasm, excitement and Cal pride to more people than the Cal Band. Now, more than ever before, the Cal Band needs all of our financial support and by joining us on September 19th you will not only support the Cal Band but you'll also have a fantastic time with other Cal Band lovers (supporters) as well.

As always, this will be the Band's largest fundraising event of the year and it promises to be a wonderful combination of great food, great music (plenty of performances by Cal Band members), great ambiance and great company...that's you! Whether you live just around the corner, through the Caldecott Tunnel, across the Bay, or a ways out of town, we want you to join us on September 19th!

The Berkeley City Club has a limited number of hotel rooms available for our NorCal Benefit supporters at a discounted price so I would strongly encourage you to give them a call (510-848-7800). Whether you can join us in person or only in spirit, we eagerly look forward to your support. My wife Nancy and I, along with a whole lot of other Cal Band supporters will be eager to see you in the fall at this most entertaining and worthwhile event.
